The Minneapolis area is buzzing with fun activities this Summer. For those looking to get outside and enjoy the weather with a little music, there is a plethora of free concerts guaranteed to satisfy fans of all genres and ages. Here are just a few show options heading into the next couple of weeks.

We Are The Willows
July 13 @ 6:30 p.m.
Mears Park, 221 5th St E, St Paul, MN 55101

Music in Mears is back in St. Paul at Mears Park. The free summer concert series is in its 14th year. On July 13, We Are The Willows will be headlining. The show will also feature the Hooten Hallers. Food, beverages and craft beers will be onsite. The shows are open to those of all ages and guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets.

Sommerfest
July 13 thru August 5 @ 7:30 p.m.
Minnesota Orchestral Association, 1111 Nicollet Mall, Minneapolis, MN 55403

The Minnesota Orchestra is hosting its annual summer music festival in Nicollet Mall from July 13 through Aug 5. Enjoy a number of free concerts that touch on popular music from across the world. There are also a number of other great activities to enjoy during the shows, as well as great food and drink options. The festival is open to those of all ages.

Katie McMahon
Aug 13 @ 12 p.m.
Harriet Island, 200 Dr Justus Ohage Blvd, St Paul, MN 55107

Soprano great Katie McMahon will be playing a free show at the Irish Fair of Minnesota on August 13. She is known best for her work on the original Riverdance single, as well as her work with vocal group Anuna. Classically trained, McMahon will astound all those in attendance. Come out and enjoy some great music and all of the other great activities going on during the festival. The festival is open to those of all ages.

Warehouse Eyes
July 26 @ 7 p.m.
Turf Club, 1601 University Ave W, St Paul, MN 55104

Alternative pop band Warehouse Eyes will be playing a free show at the Turf Club on July 26. The show will also feature performances from Elliott Blaufuss and Elskavon. The show is for those 21 and older and is free with a RSVP here. The show is presented by Commune.

Bastille Day Block Party
July 16 @ 3 p.m.
Outside Barbette, 1600 W Lake St, Minneapolis, MN 55408

The annual free Bastille Day Block Party in downtown Minneapolis is back on July 16. The entertainment includes live music from Black Widows and Mark Mallman, as well as a variety of other local acts. There will also be an artist market and food and drinks. The party is sponsored by the restaurant Barbette.
